Donald Trump and the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met over dinner on July 8. Netanyahu told Trump that he has nominated him for the Swedish Nobel Peace Prize.

Trump says he wants to save lives and stop wars, and credits himself for the attack on Iran. He says the attack on Iran has been practised since 2000, but no president has given the clearance to make the attack until now.

Netanyahu claims that he cherishes lives, that Palestinians have the right to leave Gaza, and that ”there is an opportunity here to create a historical expansion of the Abraham accords, which were themselves an act of history that deserves a Nobel Prize for the president”.

The Abraham Accords are a set of agreements signed in Washington in 2020, establishing diplomatic normalisation between Israel and several Arab states.

Trump calls Netanyahu ”the Greatest Man in the World”.

He also announced that the US will send more weapons to Ukraine. This comes as a surprise, as on July 2, Trump announced that the US would halt heavy weapons to Zelensky.

Journalists asked questions about Gaza and the Palestinian destiny, Syria, the Texas flooding, the trade war with China, the Iran talks, Yemen, the Great Beautiful Bill, the US economy, and taxes.
