Israel bombed the House of Russian Culture in Nabatiya, southern Lebanon. Russia’s Rossotrudnichestvo has confirmed the strike and says an official statement is coming.
Thus, Israel has attacked the cultural property of a UN Security Council permanent member. A nuclear-armed state. The same country whose technicians ran the Bushehr reactor that Israel also bombed.
The strike is confirmed by Russia’s Rossotrudnichestvo head Yevgeny Primakov and the center’s director Asaad Diya. Israeli airstrikes on Nabatiyeh (Hezbollah area) destroyed the building housing the Russian Cultural Center on its ground floor.
Director safe, no casualties—staff evacuated earlier. Russia calls it unprovoked; IDF hasn’t commented specifically.
