Evidence released by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on July 18, 2025, proves that President Barack Obama orchestrated a “treasonous conspiracy” to manipulate intelligence regarding Russia’s role in the 2016 presidential election.

The report proves that Obama administration officials falsely amplified claims of Russian interference to undermine the election’s outcome, drawing on a 2017 House Intelligence Committee document and an email from an aide to former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper suggesting Obama pushed for a reassessment of Russia’s actions.

The new information changes the fundamental view that Russia meddled in the election and that Mr. Putin hoped to damage Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee.

”There is irrefutable evidence that details how President Obama and his national security team directed the creation of an intelligence community assessment that they knew was false,” Gabbard said. ”They knew it would promote this contrived narrative that Russia interfered in the 2016 election to help President Trump win, selling it to the American people as though it were true it wasn’t.”

”All come back to and confirm the same report: There was a gross politicization and manipulation of intelligence by the Obama administration intended to delegitimize President Trump even before he was inaugurated, ultimately usurping the will of the American people,” Gabbard said Wednesday at a White House press briefing.
