“Our mission is to save lives and prevent all forms of suffering in the Covid-19 pandemic. We aim to provide an unbiased assessment of the ongoing scientific discussion to find the best path to handle the pandemic through scientifically informed and ethical decisions. The overall goal is to minimize the impact of Covid-19.”

The steering group of Science Forum Covid-19 consists of professor emeritus Anders Vahlne former chief physician at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Fredrik Elgh (virologist) formerly responsible for virological activities at the Swedish Defense Research Agency and research on genetic vaccines at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (map), Björn Olsen, Professor and chief physician in infectious diseases at Uppsala University, Akademiska Sjukhuset and at Zoonosis Science Center.

The Warfare “background” of Science Forum Covid-19

The background of the virologist Fredrik Elgh might be concerning to some people due to his military warfare background at Fort Detrick. Wikipedia states:

“The United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID; pronounced: you-SAM-rid) is the U.S Army’s main institution and facility for defensive research into countermeasures against biological warfare. It is located on Fort Detrick, Maryland”.
