More than 200 demonstrators were reportedly detained at a May Day protest which was also attended by the ‘Yellow Vests’ demonstrators in Paris on Wednesday.
“Protesters threw projectiles at police officers who in turn responded with tear gas. Demonstrators were also seen crashing a fence of a police station and setting barricades on fire. The French government reportedly deployed more than 7,400 police officers warning about the possible repetition of violence that marked previous ‘Yellow Vests’ rallies and May Day demonstrations.”
