Den turkiska militären har startat en operation i Syrien för att störta Syriens president Assad och upprätta rättvisa, meddelade president Recep Tayyip Erdo?an den 29 november vid ett interparlamentariskt symposium i Istanbul, rapporterar turkiska Hurriyet Daily News.
Erdogan sa under sitt tal att han vill stoppa dödandet av människor och att han därför berordrat sina trupper att ansluta sig till den fria syriska armén [FSA].
”On Aug. 24, the Turkish Armed Forces launched an operation in Syria, the Euphrates Shield operation, with FSA fighters to ostensibly clear the country’s southern border of both the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) forces, which Ankara considers as a terrorist group linked to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).”
